We are seeking an experienced and energetic Product Manager to manage and grow our product portfolio, build strategic vendor relationships and drive product adoption, revenue growth and commercial success across the business. The role acts as the primary liaison between vendors, partners, sales and technical teams to ensure products remain competitive and aligned with customer and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow the company’s product portfolio while identifying opportunities for expansion and optimisation.
• Maintain expertise in product features, licensing, pricing and market positioning.
• Develop and manage relationships with vendors, distributors and technology partners.
• Act as the primary liaison between vendors, distributors and internal teams.
• Support sales enablement, go-to-market initiatives and product knowledge-sharing across the business.
• Manage vendor engagement activities, including MDF programmes, training sessions and business reviews.
• Drive product adoption, revenue growth, profitability and commercial performance.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging product opportunities.
• Support pricing reviews, quoting processes, forecasting, budgeting and revenue planning.
• Gather customer and stakeholder feedback to inform product and portfolio decisions.
• Communicate product updates, licensing changes, pricing changes and new features to relevant stakeholders.
• Produce product portfolio and performance reports while identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 (NQF 4).
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in Product Management, Vendor Management, Technology Sales, Business Development or a related field.
• Product portfolio and lifecycle management knowledge.
• Vendor and distributor relationship management experience.
• Understanding of SaaS solutions, software licensing and subscription-based business models.
• Understanding of software licensing, subscription renewals and vendor commercial programmes.
• Knowledge of product pricing, commercial management and market positioning.
• Understanding of backup, recovery, cyber resilience and data protection solutions.
• Knowledge of cloud and enterprise data management solutions.
• Ability to analyse market trends, product performance and commercial opportunities.
• Strong stakeholder communication, presentation and reporting skills.

• Certified Product Manager (CPM)
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
• ITIL Foundation
• Business Analysis Certification
• Project Management Certification
• Vendor-specific Product Certifications

Advantageous:

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Business Management, Commerce, Marketing, Information Systems, or related field.
